Establishing a Business

One of the first decisions to be made when establishing a business is the type of trading vehicle to use. You need to determine which is best suited to your circumstances, your finances, the expectations of your intended market, and your objectives.

You may decide to trade as a sole proprietor. Alternatively, if you are involved with others, a partnership or limited company might be more appropriate. If you decide to form a partnership should you choose a "traditional" one or should you go for one with limited liability?

Choosing whether or not to be registered for VAT is another decision which needs to be taken.

Each of the different trading vehicles has its advantages and disadvantages.

Choosing the most appropriate structure needs careful consideration. We can advice and assist you to make the right choice for you.
