Commercial Disputes

Disputes can arise with employees, suppliers or customers. Sometimes where property rights or competition issues are concerned disputes can arise with competitors or potential competitors. Relationships with regulators and government departments or agencies can also give rise to disputes.

Given a dispute your first instance may be to sue, or if it is you who is being sued, to react in kind and issue an immediate rebuttal and enter the litigation process.

However, first instincts are not always right. If, for example, your protagonist is an important customer or a key supplier you may want to avoid a course of action which might lead to permanent damage to your relationship. In such circumstance litigation should perhaps be the last resort. At other times, however, litigation may be your only choice.

We can advise on all your potential options in a contentious situation and we can offer our views, or those of expert counsel, on your best course of action. If it does come to litigation you can depend on us to fight your corner expertly, efficiently and aggressively.
